Galilee Quartet
The 2026 Quartet Luncheons (2)
August 19, 2026, 12:30 p.m.
Chapel of the School of Arts - Tournai
Proquartetto asbl is partnering with the Midis-Minimes festival in Brussels, which has been offering a chamber music program during the summer for many years. The concept: short concerts (about 35 minutes) at very affordable prices, so they remain accessible to everyone… including workers on their lunch break. We’re offering you three summer interludes: at each event, you’ll discover a young quartet and one or two musical works.
Programme
- Franz Schubert: String Quartet No. 12 in C minor, D. 703 (“Quartettsatz”)
- Robert Schumann: String Quartet in A minor, Op. 41 No. 1
Galilee Quartet
Omar, Mostafa, Tibah et Gandhi Saad
The Galilee Quartet is a Palestinian quartet composed of four siblings from Maghar, in the Galilee. Through a unique approach blending Western classical and Eastern Arabic traditions, the ensemble has developed a rich and personal musical language, driven by its own compositions. Having trained notably with the Cremona Quartet, the CRR in Paris, and the CNSMDP, the quartet has established itself as a promising young ensemble on the international scene, while remaining deeply committed to Palestinian musical life.
