Naka Quartet

The 2026 Quartet Luncheons (1)

August 17, 2026, 12:30 p.m.

Chapel of the School of Arts - Tournai

Proquartetto asbl is partnering with the Midis-Minimes festival in Brussels, which has been offering a chamber music program during the summer for many years. The concept: short concerts (about 35 minutes) at very affordable prices, so they remain accessible to everyone… including workers on their lunch break. We’re offering you three summer interludes: at each event, you’ll discover a young quartet and one or two musical works.

Programme

  • Ludwig van Beethoven, String Quartet, Op. 18, No. 1

Naka Quartet

Giovanna Sevi – Karen Nonomura – Camille Havel – Boris Benazdia

Formed recently, the Naka Quartet has quickly distinguished itself through the richness and boldness of its repertoire, which reflects the curiosity and dedication of its members. Driven by a genuine appetite for exploration, the young ensemble performs everything from the great works of the classical repertoire—Haydn, Beethoven, Mendelssohn—to modern music, such as Bartók, and contemporary works, ranging from Wim Henderickx to Wolfgang Rihm. Their approach also embraces new compositions and improvisation, fostering a vibrant and inventive musical identity.
