The Tchalik Quartet performed in Tournai on March 22 as part of the 24th Les Voix Intimes Festival.
For the season's final concert, the members of this all-family quartet (whose violist was exceptionally replaced due to maternity leave) presented a program that was both rich, intense, and demanding.
The first half featured a dialogue of Slavic musical voices, at times stark and contrasting, at others imbued with hope. The second half began with a serene and fraternal mood, carried by Beethoven's luminous Quartet Opus 127. The entire performance was delivered by a remarkably cohesive ensemble, notable for both the quality of their sound and the precision of their musical intentions.
The evening was enthusiastically welcomed by our cherished and loyal audience, who once again affirmed the vibrancy of our musical events.
